Yaamava Resort Casino is located at 777 San Manuel Blvd, Highland, California. Its history dates back to 1986 when the San Manuel Band of Serrano Mission Indians opened a bingo parlor on the site.

San Manuel Indian Bingo underwent its first expansion in 1994 when it was expanded to 100,000 square feet to include slot machines and table games. Following the expansion, the venue changed its name to San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino.

Another change ensued in 2017 when the establishment closed its bingo hall and started to offer only casino games. The following year, management decided to undertake a $760 million renovation and expansion project.

The project was finished in 2021, and the new resort had its grand opening on Dec. 13, 2021. Among other things, the project included expanding the casino gaming area, adding more table games, and increasing the number of slot machines to over 7,000. The sheer selection of games currently makes Yaamava’ Casino one of the best casinos in California.

The resort also has a 17-floor hotel with a full-service spa, fitness center, and a pool deck. Yaamava’ Theater, the resort’s entertainment venue, opened in April 2022. It has so far hosted many notable performers, including Jonas Brothers, Duran Duran, Earth, Wind & Fire, Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper, and Pink, among others.

Even though California’s legal gambling age is 18, Yaamava’ is a 21+ casino to help prevent underage drinking.

Sports Betting at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino

If you’re wondering, Does Yaamava’ Resort & Casino have a sportsbook?” you may be disappointed to read that the answer is no. Retail sportsbooks at California casinos haven’t been legalized yet, so Yaamava’ Resort & Casino doesn’t currently facilitate sports wagering.

California voters emphatically rejected Prop 26 and Prop 27 in the 2022 election. Prop 26 would have legalized in-person sports betting at the state’s tribal casinos and four licensed horse racetracks. Prop 27 would have legalized online and mobile sports betting.

Sportsbooks in California won’t be able to launch until 2025 at the earliest — and that’s only if voters approve a sports betting ballot measure in the 2024 election.
